wild and free,
with bleeding hearts.
Far gone, so long
You say you love me,
with your hand in mine
Seven seas in your eyes.
The wound never closed.
It learned to stay open,
a thin line,
where the light still enters,
and the love still leaks out.
The heart keeps its colour,
because it keeps its cut.
This is the portrait of love that survives,
by staying tender in the exact place it was broken.
