Whisper from a Bluebell is a poignant painting in my Wildflower collection that pays tribute to my beloved brother, Carl, who left us far too soon. The painting captures the essence of the bluebell, the Swedish national flower, through layers of rich blue and yellow tones, mixed with natural hues. The bluebell is depicted in a way that it appears to sway and bow, as if it is feeling the same sadness and loss that we all felt at the loss of my brother.

The painting is a nostalgic tribute to the precious memories of summers spent in Sweden, running wild at our grandparent’s countryside cottage, surrounded by fields of wildflowers. It is a reminder of the bond I shared with my brother, and the pride he had in his Swedish heritage. It serves as a comforting reminder of the beauty and joy that some people bring into our lives. It is a painting that speaks to the heart, and honours our sweet memories.
