Forget me not is a mixed media portrait painting from my Wildflower collection, which embodies the spirit of resilience and strength. It pays homage to my time in Africa, where I left a piece of my heart behind. The painting is a tribute to the vibrant and diverse culture that I experienced in the Congo and Nigeria. Despite the challenges faced by women in Africa, they continue to persevere with boldness, strength, and a voice that cannot be silenced. The use of mixed media, including painting, drawing and collage, creates a layered piece with a sense of depth and lightness that captures the essence of the wildflower metaphor.
