This work explores place as something we carry, shaped through environment, emotion and experience.
Expanding from a central point, the form moves outward in wave-like gestures that echo tides, grasses and breath. Built from layered translucent tissue paper, the surface softens and reveals what sits beneath, allowing colour, marks and fragments of text to shift in and out of view.
Light moves through the layers rather than sitting on the surface, suggesting something constant beneath change — a place of return, found within.
Currently entered into the Fleurieu Biennale Art Prize.
